CONTROLLER/DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Cummings Lumber Company is looking for a Controller/Director of Finance to join our team! This is a key role for someone who enjoys working with numbers and people, and who wants to help guide the financial side of a growing manufacturing business.

You’ll oversee day-to-day accounting, work closely with management, and use financial data to help the company plan, improve, and grow.

What You’ll Do:

Oversee accounting functions like AP, AR, and financial reporting
Maintain and improve our accounting systems using modern, cloud-based software
Analyze costs, revenues, and profitability and share insights with management
Help with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
Ensure compliance with accounting regulations
Support payroll and HR-related financial activities as needed

What We’re Looking For:

Accounting degree or equivalent experience
Several years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience a plus!)
Comfortable using cloud-based accounting software
Strong communication and organizational skills
Someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working as part of a team

LUMBER HANDLER

Are you looking for a solid job with great benefits and a team that takes pride in quality craftsmanship? Cummings Lumber Company is hiring full-time Lumber Handlers at our Lumber Mill.

What You’ll Do:
• Efficiently sort, straighten, and stack lumber according to lengths
• Monitor boards for quality and thickness
• Set up carts and crates for appropriate sorts
• Preventative maintenance and housekeeping

• Regular work hours for dependable scheduling (currently Monday – Friday 6:30am – 4:00pm)

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – NIGHT SHIFT

Position: Maintenance Technician – Night Shift
Location: Barefoot Pellet Company, 22721 Route 14, Troy PA.
Schedule: Full-time, 12 hour night shift, Monday through Thursday.

What You’ll Do
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping our pellet equipment and manufacturing systems running smoothly. Your responsibilities include:
• Performing routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Installing, repairing, or replacing machinery parts
• Identifying and resolving maintenance or safety issues promptly
• Documenting repairs and purchases
• Conducting pre- and post-shift maintenance checks
• Keeping your work area clean and safe
• Taking on additional duties or temporary assignments as needed

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking reliable team members with:
• Mechanical knowledge of machines, tools, and maintenance
• Experience in production or industrial settings (1-2 years preferred)
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
• Strong manual dexterity and quick reflexes
• Sharp eyesight and attention to detail
• Solid planning and decision-making skills
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
