LABORERS

Are you looking for a solid job with great benefits and a team that takes pride in quality craftsmanship? Cummings Lumber Company is hiring full-time Laborers for our Barefoot Flooring Plant to help create high-quality hardwood flooring used in homes across the country.

What You’ll Do:

Move material through stages of the manufacturing process by:

Stacking lumber, flooring, and finished products according to specifications.
Inspecting materials for quality and identify defects.
Bundling, banding, and palletizing finished products.
Feeding materials into production equipment.
Marking and grading products as needed.
Help maintain steady production flow and support team efficiency
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe

HEAD MECHANIC

Help us keep our operation running strong! Cummings Lumber is looking for a skilled and dependable Head Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in keeping our trucks, trailers, forklifts, and heavy equipment running safely and efficiently. If you’re hands-on, mechanically inclined, and take pride in solving problems the right way, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

Perform routine preventative maintenance to keep equipment operating efficiently and minimize downtime
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and drivetrain systems
Coordinate and prioritize maintenance work based on operational needs
Identify and promptly address maintenance, safety, and DOT compliance issues
Order parts and supplies within established guidelines and maintain cost-effective inventory levels
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and purchases
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Work collaboratively with team members, while also operating independently when needed
Use downtime productively for preventative maintenance, housekeeping, or other assigned tasks
Train or assist in training team members as needed
Perform additional duties or support other functions as required

What We’re Looking For

Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, backhoes, telehandlers, and dozers
Experience working with hydraulic systems and diesel, gas, and propane engines
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Ability to troubleshoot and perform both routine maintenance and complex repairs
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age
Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

Pennsylvania inspection license (or willingness to obtain)
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – NIGHT SHIFT

Position: Maintenance Technician – Night Shift
Location: Barefoot Pellet Company, 22721 Route 14, Troy PA.
Schedule: Full-time, 12 hour night shift, Monday through Thursday.

What You’ll Do
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping our pellet equipment and manufacturing systems running smoothly. Your responsibilities include:
• Performing routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Installing, repairing, or replacing machinery parts
• Identifying and resolving maintenance or safety issues promptly
• Documenting repairs and purchases
• Conducting pre- and post-shift maintenance checks
• Keeping your work area clean and safe
• Taking on additional duties or temporary assignments as needed

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking reliable team members with:
• Mechanical knowledge of machines, tools, and maintenance
• Experience in production or industrial settings (1-2 years preferred)
